To the East are the seven Sisters cliffs, Birling Gap & Beachy Head.
To the west, South Hill,Hope Gap & Seaford Head.
Inland the River passes through a gap in the south downs. Nestling at the foot of the downs alongside the River Cuckmere lies the beautiful village of Alfriston.
